    How To Change A LED Bulb On Your Passat:

    Step 1
    Open the hood. The stock halogen bulb is located near the outer edge of the housing. The H11 bulb is located near the middle of the stock housing.
    Step 2
    Reach in behind the stock assembly and remove the rubber dust cap.
    Step 3
    Rotate the grey plastic halogen H7 bulb holder/adapter and turn counterclockwise before pulling it out of the housing.
    Step 4
    Reinsert the new LASFIT LED bulb into the housing and secure it in place.
    Step 5
    Put the rubber dust cap back in to place. Test the new light bulbs by turning on the lights.


    Application:
    HID and LED bulbs are street legal in the USA for Fog Light use only. Not compliant with DOT / FMVSS108 and not street legal in the USA for Headlights. Legal for off-road use in Snowmobile and ATV headlights and off-road racing use only auxiliary or forward lighting. International street legality varies by country.     You know that overused analogy "night and day?" Well, I'm happy to report that this actually works here. I ordered the low beams to see if they were worth the hype, and all I keep thinking is: "When do my high beams get here?!"

    I now feel like I have an answer to all those Cadillac Escalades with their poorly aimed LED lowbeams. ;-)

    2014 Passat TDI High Beams I received from Lasfit were too big around between the gasket and the LEDs. I had to "modify" that portion with my dremel.

    High Beam PRO-VW1. Great, but with caveats.

    I was glad to see the review from Mike Sullivan below which matches my opinion of this light completely. I have a 2014 Passat TDI and this is for high beam light review, recently released. Let me explain.

    Compared to OE Halogens, this light is *literally* day and night. When activating high beams, it adds so much more visibility. The lights were truly easy to install, just plug in. I will be posting more in depth review on TDI Club Forums.

    However, there are 2 major caveats. First, the light throws a Dashboard error every time I turn on the car. The error goes away after a few minutes, but for this price, the light should be error free.

    Second, unlike the low beam PRO-G2, the high beam has a connector wire. The connection is secure, you connect a plug with a socket. However, since the fan is not protected by a shroud, I worry that a connector will find a way to interfere with the fan. I bought a 75mm dome cover to give it more space. And there is plenty of space in there for the connector. But imagine yourself braking hard and causing the wire or connector itself to touch the fan blades. I see the fan burning out in the future due to this and causing the assembly to later overheat. Some redesign of the fan to protect the blades from interference would be a must. The low beam does not use wires and is not a problem for this design. High beam does create this problem. And there is nowhere to tuck the connector. It is bulky enough to not fit into the housing, therefore requires you to leave it in the dome cover. I don't want to compromise the light assembly by leaving off the cover, since dirt and moisture will easily get inside.

    Overall, would give 3 stars. Great light overall, but needs improvement to get to 5 stars.

    It would help for checking the information concerning bulb size, compatibility issue, special retainer holder/ adapter clip before shipping, in case you have an aftermarket housing but got the wrong LED bulb by mistake, we would help you exchange for the correct one and ship as soon as possible.

    Handling Time
    Once the order was placed please allow us 1-2 business days for packing and shipping, checking the order information is a very important step to build a better shopping experience.
