Why LASFIT re-designed dust cover?

When you install after-market LED bulbs, did you meet this kind of problem? The cooling fan(heat sink) of LED bulb is too large or too long to reinstall the dust cover back. If you want to install LED bulbs, you have to remove the dust cover, but you worry about the dust, random debris, and water condensation get into the housing. You bought some universal rubber dust covers on Amazon, eBay…, but those rubber dust covers can’t fit the housing, and it is easy to be melt and can’t protect the housing. Oh~~~ How can I do it?

LASFIT got feedback from customers, and re-designed new dust covers to solve the problem. These new dust covers are designed based on the factory dust cover, completely different from other rubber dust cover.

OEM Design, perfect fit

As shown in the pictures, the diameter of the dust cover is same as the OEM dust cover, and the same design of the sticking points, perfectly lock in housing. Just twist in, easy installation.

More space for better heat dissipation

This new dust cover was made with bigger space than OEM’s, which keep there is enough space between the cooling fan and dust cover for airflow and get better heat dissipation

Top Quality

On the current market, the universal dust covers / caps are rubber material, very soft. These new dust cover are made for after-market LEDbulbs, so LASFIT used the rigid plastic to make dust cover, heat-resisting, waterproof, dustproof, better to protect the housing.

Perfect fit for 2016 Forte5 SX High Beam and Fog Lights
The housings dust covers are the same for the high beams and fog lights for the Forte5 SX. These covers allow for the larger size of the LED bulb as well as the wires, etc.
The Customer Service at Lasfit is top notch; they helped me through the fitment and exchanging parts until we got it exactly right.
The passenger side high beam is a tight fit, you need to push on the windshield wiper tank but it will fit.
I wish every merchant had the same service as Lasfit.

2012 Genesis sedan high beams
I was attempting to replace my high beam H7 bulbs in my genny but ran into an issue with clearance. The back portion of the LED bulb was uncomfortably close to the dust cover. I contacted Lasfit customer support and was informed that ONLY the universal fit rubber dust covers would work. Well I twisted my hands into the back of my headlights and removed the factory dust cover, looked at pictures and got the best measurements I could manage and these seemed close, so I said F it, these are only $20 so if they don't fit I'm not out much. Well I received these today and installed them and they fit perfectly and gave me almost an extra 1.5 inches of clearance behind the LED. So for anyone having issues finding a dust cover for the high beams on a first gen Genesis sedan, these are them. Now hopefully Lasfit will update this product to show that.
