    Work’s great

Install was pretty forward. Not easy to fit. I did swap the original rubber gasket from the halogen lights with the ones that came with the new LED’s. It seem to seat better.

Mixed bag of thoughts...but mostly good.

I bought the full package for my 2017 highlander. I thought I had done enough research on everything, but found out I only did about 95%. So let this be a heads up to anyone buying this.

Some vehicles have a daytime running light (DRL) that piggy backs off of the high beams (HB). No biggie until you install LEDs. This causes a flickering effect. The ONLY way around this is a can bus system to keep the signal strong for the HB to be on during your DRL hours. Not a big deal for daylight, but during dusk you're flashing the crap out of folks and because your HB is going full blast. Only work around is turn off your DRL. No biggie really...just wish I had known.

If you're using auto start/stop at lights and it's night, when the engine turns back on, similar to the DRL issue, the lights will flash off and then back on again EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE CUSTOM FIT LED LIGHTS with the cool little backs with the fan on them. So my suggestion is to NOT use the auto start/stop when at signs and lights because, let me tell ya, these low beams are stronger than most people's HB and that will flash bright in the mirror of the car in front of you or right across the intersection. A cop pulled me over for it but once he saw that I was telling the truth he let me go. Again, not documented anywhere at the time of writing this review.

When I called about this it was explained that this is a normal thing. This is my first set so I don't know if it is, but I'll take their word for it till I need to buy again and see if someone else has figured these issues out and new technology has been advented.

Install was super crazy easy, BUT make sure you've got the photo from the product page here explaining which light is which. You can infer it from how they look, but it's easy to get your front and back blinkers mixed up as there is no clear marking on the package other than "switch back" on one and not the other. Once you lay em all out, it's a simple task to switch the lights out. My biggest issue was the fog lamps. I've got huge hands and switching them took time. It was more time consuming figuring out how to get my hands into the small places under the hood to twist and pull out fixtures than it was to switch the lights. ha

Be ready for these things. When I say they're bright, I mean they're BRIGHT. I was driving home at dusk a week ago and just flipped the HB on and it looked like mid day. At night you can see literally everything around you as the beams are wide AND bright/long throw. The interior are bright as well, much brighter than the halogens that were in there before. The reverse and signal lights were the same. If anyone says they didn't see you coming or switching lanes they gotta be blind.

I don't think I've said how bright these are yet. Yeah...I'm pretty sure I've not put the proper emphasis on that...so...how do I say this...? You know spots you see when you close your eyes after you stare at a solar eclipse? It's worse than that. Remember that time your parents told you not to shine the laser pointer in your eye but the neighbor's kid didn't listen and now he's sporting a pirate patch and everyone made fun of him through school? Yeah. They're that bright.

So yeah...be warned...don't buy these unless you want the unfiltered power of the sun illuminating your way down a dark highway with a wall of light so bright it will melt vampires.

In all seriousness, better documentation and labeling for idiots like me would have been nice. In the end, after almost 3 weeks of driving with them, I really like these lights so far and the speed of answering the phones for questions was pretty good. They did have a hard time understanding my KY accent, but hey, comes with the territory.

8.5 out of 10. Would buy again.

Great lighting. Installation took some effort. Dust cover does not point straight down as suggested. More of a 45degree downward on the drivers side.
