What is Lasfit Custom H7 LED bulb?
Some Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen vehicles come with unique OEM H7 halogen bulb retainers, meaning that if you choose standard H7 LED bulbs, you’ll need to purchase a special H7 retainer adapter separately to complete the installation. Some users have also reported that LED bulbs feel loose after installation in the light housing. To make DIY installations easier, Lasfit redesigned certain H7 LED bulbs, creating custom H7 LED bulbs. These feature an all-in-one design with the retainer adapter integrated into the bulb, eliminating the need for an extra adapter. As shown in the videos, this custom H7 LED bulb includes a special adapter that combines the H7 mounting plate with the retainer holder. I got the lights around a year ago, and after putting them in I thought they were fantastic. Although, not too long after I started to get flashed by oncoming cars. I adjusted the lights downward and that helped a bit. The truth is, these are truly bright lights, but the cut-off lines are not nearly as crisp as the stock halogens. Around a week ago I put the stock bulbs back in, but I really couldn’t stand the dated look that they gave. So, I put the Lasfit LED bulbs back in. I don’t know if they offer a newer bulb with a better cut-off line, but that would be fantastic. It also bothered me that the lights would flash whenever my start/stop engaged.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Lasfit LED bulbs you purchased around a year ago.
1. We understand your concerns regarding the light pattern and cut-off lines not being as crisp as the stock halogen bulbs.
It's important to note that LED bulbs and halogen bulbs have different light angles and forms, which can result in a not same type of cut-off lines.
The most we can do is to adjust the best light pattern, it would be great if you could double-check if the LED bulb is installed in the correct direction.
The correct direction is LED chips should be facing side to side, 3 to 9 o'clock, not up-down.
Also, the power cable should be downward, you can rotate the LED bulb to adjust it.
By the way, it may be hot after working for a period of time, please adjust it directly by wearing gloves.
2. Regarding the lights flashing when your start/stop system engages, this can be a common issue with certain vehicle setups due to power fluctuations.
Because LED lights are brighter, the flicker is more obvious than halogen lights, but it will work normally later.

Installed the Lasfit lights and they are much better than the stock halogens. Light up the road very clear and modernize the car greatly. Matches the stock drl also!
They way you guys re-designed the retaining clips for the VW setup is impossible to mimic the OEM fit. To the point of rendering it completely useless. They barely secure in the factory headlight assembly and the slightest bump while driving will knock them out of the headlight. My factory clips and bulbs remove and reinstall perfectly. I spent 3 damn days trying everything possible to get your bulbs to fit and secure properly, aside from removing the headlight assemblies entirely from the vehicle, which would have required the front bumper to be completely removed. After those 3 days and every ounce of mental patience I have, your bulbs do. Not. Work. Properly. Close enough is not good enough. Especially when your product is at the price point you sell it for... I'll take my chances with the $28 bulbs made in a sweatshop in some Godforsaken country that's sold on Amazon..

Most customers reported that these custom H7 LED bulbs are easy to install and don't need to remove the factory headlight assembly, it is our first time meeting this issue, and we are wondering if your vehicle's factory headlight assembly doesn't have enough space to install these LED bulbs and need to remove it.
