Why This Comparison Is Different

Brian Kearns had already been using Husky floor liners before trying Lasfit in his 2019 Ford F-150 STX. That gave him a direct point of comparison—not just a first impression of a new set of mats.

After installing the Lasfit liners, Brian shared his experience with other F-150 owners online. More than a month later, he came back with a follow-up after continuing to use them in everyday life.

His feedback focused on practical differences: front-row coverage, contour fit, material flexibility, passenger-side movement, and cleaning.

What Brian Noticed First

The first differences Brian noticed were the amount of coverage in the front, how closely the liners followed the truck’s floor contours, and the more flexible feel compared with the Husky liners he had previously used.

01

More Front Coverage

In Brian’s experience, the Lasfit front liners provided more coverage than the Husky liners he previously had in his truck.

02

Close Contour Fit

He felt the molded shape accurately followed the floor contours of his 2019 Ford F-150 STX.

03

A More Flexible Feel

Compared with his previous Husky liners, Lasfit felt less stiff, which Brian preferred when removing the liners for cleaning.

Coverage Was One of the Biggest Differences

For Brian, one of the clearest differences was the amount of coverage provided by the front liners.

He found that the Lasfit liners covered more of the front floor area than the Husky liners he had previously been using. He also liked how accurately the molded shape followed the contours of his truck’s interior.

Brian’s experience

More front-row coverage combined with an accurate molded fit was one of the first things that stood out after the switch.

Lasfit vs Husky: Brian’s Experience

Rather than treating this as a laboratory comparison between every Lasfit and Husky product, the table below summarizes what Brian personally noticed with the specific liners he used in his 2019 Ford F-150 STX.

What Brian Compared His Previous Husky Liners Lasfit
Front Coverage Less coverage in his experience More front-row coverage
Contour Fit Fit his truck Brian preferred the close contour fit

Less Repositioning on the Passenger Side

One everyday difference stood out to Brian in particular: the passenger-side liner.

With the Husky liner he previously used, Brian felt that he regularly had to move it back into position. After switching to Lasfit, he found that the passenger-side liner moved around less during his normal use.

It may sound like a small detail, but it is the type of difference that becomes more noticeable through everyday use.

A More Flexible Feel—and Brian Preferred It

Brian also noticed that the Lasfit liners felt less stiff and less hard than the Husky liners he had used before.

For him, that was a positive. The additional flexibility made the liners easier to lift out of the truck when it was time to clean them.

At the same time, Brian acknowledged that stiffness ultimately comes down to personal preference. Some truck owners may prefer a firmer liner, while he preferred the more flexible feel.

Easy In. Easy Out. Easy to Clean.

How Have They Been to Clean?

Brian says routine cleaning has been easy so far.

He also provided some useful context. He normally cleans the liners before mud from work or sand from the beach has time to sit for an extended period and cake onto the surface.

That distinction matters. This was not a staged durability test—it reflects the way Brian actually maintains and uses his truck in everyday life.

MORE THAN ONE MONTH LATER

Did He Keep Them?

Yes.

More than a month after his original comparison, Brian posted another update and confirmed that he had decided to continue using the Lasfit liners in his truck.

“Decided to stick with the Lasfit mats.”
— Brian Kearns, 2019 Ford F-150 STX owner

Brian also reported that the liners were holding up well. He cleans his truck regularly, and after continued use he remained satisfied with their condition and everyday performance.

Why Brian Decided to Keep Lasfit?

For Brian’s 2019 Ford F-150 STX, Lasfit ended up being the better match for what he wanted from a floor liner.

The differences that mattered most to him were:

  • More front-row coverage
  • Close contour fit
  • A softer, more flexible feel
  • Less passenger-side movement in his truck
  • Easier removal for cleaning
  • Easy routine maintenance

That does not mean every F-150 owner will have exactly the same preference. Brian himself noted that some owners may prefer a stiffer floor liner.

But after switching from Husky, using the Lasfit liners in everyday driving, and checking back in more than a month later, Brian chose to keep Lasfit in his truck.
