First Impression

Lasfit just came up with a compact air inflator which I am excited to give a try for my pick-up truck and mountain bikes. The order was delivered around 4 days. The outside box is well packaged, and everything is neatly bundled in the carrying case when I first unboxing. It can be all kept together in this storage preventing pieces from getting lost. Simply by the touch of the air compressor, it’s so lightweight and compact that you can throw it anywhere in your car.

Functionality

The inflator itself is with two red and black air hoses, four air fittings with Schrader/standard valve, needle, multi-purpose, and presta valve, a USB charging cable, a 12 volt socket cord, and instructions are included in the package. This is a battery-powered device with an LC CD and some basic control. It could basically access to anything needs air pump such as your tires, lawnmower, basketball.

(1) The unit comes with a type-C USB port on the back in which you can charge your phone freely.

(2) The long-press model of the front button provides 3 models of flash lights, bright light, strobe lights, and SOS flash. If we turn it on by pushing and holding the middle power button for a couple seconds, you will see it come with the falshlight model, then strobe lights if you push it again, then the SOS model which is necessary for the emergency.

(3)Plugging in the hose for connecting to the charging cord. The adaptor for connecting the tires to the hoses, and what appears to be two charging cords for plugging into lighters. A couple of add-on for air blowing balls and another adaptor for things like bicycle tires, so when this unit is powered on, a plus and minus are displayed on the screen which would also detect the current tire pressure.

General Comparison with the Market

The general portable air compressor with built-in battery source were the new call on the market. Some of Chevrolet owners have used small 2 gallon compressors on daily, but they are quite heavy compared to the simple portable units. The outlet is 400w in converting to 4 amp which is the max power source it could give. It need to be with a small motor for at least 2 amps for continuous use. The Lasfit air pumps filled my tires all the way from 19 psi to 37 psi in around 4 minutes and 50 seconds with 1 bar of battery. It didn’t air pump all tires, but I guess it could easily filled out 4 tires with the fully charged Lasfit air compressor.

Heating

The typical air compress doesn’t fit with the truck rugged tires. The conventional battery just went overheating with the simple cylinder pump. With an airflow rate of 50 LPM (Airflow standard for pick-up trucks & SUVs), it can fully inflate your light trucks’ tire in just 3 minutes. (29~36PSI). Most of 35W portable air compressor went down after the battery crashed for a period time of use. The Lasfit comes with 2 smart dual-cylinders & 12-volt power provides 55~60 airflow intake to fully inflate up to 4 32’ inches tires from 25 Psi to 32 Psi. With high-precision sensors and different calibration algorithms in different modes to ensure precise pressure control accuracy error +/- 0.2 PSI. The auto-stop function ensures worry-free inflation, offering a safe and reliable experience. The portable power bank with the big battery is always a trustworthy outdoor small power source for your riders.

The Sound

I was surprised by its silence. Though I don’t have a decibel meter, it is much quieter than the typical high-volt compressor. I found that holding the inflator helps reduce vibrations and keeps it quieter than leaving it on the pavement

Size & Convenience

After experimenting with a few other spots, I’ve discovered that the trunk wheel well trays, which are perched atop the rear wheels. That works the best for me in keeping the inflator in my Chevrolet. In an attempt to prevent the inflator shell from slipping, I was able to jam in a analog pressure gauge that I always carry with me. It seems to stay in place when driving regularly, however it could bounce out when outdoor. It fits in the center console’s storage area up front, but my own is filled with far more practical items that I use far more frequently.

Personal Application for Mountain Bike

A few built-in battery inflator have been available for purchase in recent days. It appears that their popularity is rising for some good reasons. Some of those inflator provides corded power in the event that the battery runs out, and they are compact enough to fit in the storage box. Sadly, not all of them are made equally, and the overheating inflator are essentially dangerous to be around while the battery blows out.

When I mod my mountain bike, I adore anything that has tough gears like rugged tires, wheels, and in particular mud terrains. The tire inflation is the main drawback of these.

(1) Soft tires are typically linked to slower rolling speeds. This is not at all true on mountain bike trails. In actuality, harder tires tend to bounce rather than adequately grip the track. A riders’ speed can be greatly decreased by the hard tires’ lack of friction and prolonged airborne travel, particularly when utilizing lower gear ranges. The tires on the mountain bikes aren’t usually the highest pressure. Low tires pressure is a must for better traction.
(2) I have a 27.5 back wheel on my 29-inch mountain bike with 11.5-inch front wheel. Even if I am not setting up camp in new locations, one thing that unites me in my dejection is the tire pressure. Those must be in the appropriate pressure. The Lasfit portable air inflator easily airing it from 22 psi to 35 psi in less a minute for my back wheel and absolutely sooner for my front wheel without overheating, just ware hose.

Overall Opinion of The Lasfit Air Portable Tire Inflator

Lasfit released three tire inflators which can be considered into 3 categories with

  1. Cordless Tire Inflator for Motorcycle, Bike and Balls
  2. Portable Tire Inflator for Sedan
  3. Portable Tire Inflator for pick-trucks & SUVs.

First up is a tiny and portable tires and ball inflator. This is intended for use with bicycle/motorcycle tires and sports balls (basketballs, soccer balls, ect.) The somewhat bigger inflator intended for regular car tires (coupes and sedans) is the next item listed for the little inflator. In this explanation, I will focus on the dual cylinder inflator, which is the final choice. It is intended for larger tires, such as those used on the Chevrolet.

There is no doubt that the Lasfit portable tire inflator is the most stylish one I have seen. There is an LCD screen and an integrated LED light on this 12-volt device. In any type of illumination, the vivid display makes it clear and easy to read your measurement. Even for someone who has never had to inflate a tire, the controls are easy to operate and intuitive. The machine has a convenient cable storage container on the back to keep it. To put it into perspective, the device is lightweight-less than 3 pounds and just easy to carry around.

Bicycle tires and sporting goods can be safely inflated without worrying about being overinflated. Just select the highest inflation pressure and allow the auto-shutoff function to handle the rest. It’s an excellent all-around portable air compressor, perfect for use with vehicles, bikes, sedans, and SUVs.

I have order two now off Amazon. For whatever reason neither of the charge. They come halfway charged but I try with the c port and car charger on first one and it just stays at two bars. On the second I tried the c port but it’s still at 2 bars. Is there a special way to charge them.
