Hey guys! Today we're going to be doing an unboxing for the Tesla again, and this is from Lasfit. We got the front and rear door sill protectors. We're going to be opening this now and showing you the installation steps.
This is for the rear, and this is for the front.
1. The Appearance of the Door Sill Protectors
So the good thing about what they did with this is that there's actually a catcher for your dust or even water, so it doesn't go on this part of the carpet. And that also collects a bit of dust. If you get this, it'll be easier to clean this area.
So we have this little part right here and the Velcro area right here, and there's also double-sided tape here, so you can put it on. It'll stick quickly.
2. Install the Front Door Sill Protectors
2.1 Stick the Velcro to the Carpet
So now let's do a test fit, and you do need to take off the floor liner here first. And you're going to be using the Velcro and sticking it to the actual carpet. Try to put it on. You have the fitment right here. And what you're gonna actually do is that you see this trim right here, this little rubber trim, we're gonna wedge it under there, so it'll look like an OEM piece.
2.2 Take off the Double-Sided Tape
So first what we're going to do is that we're going to take off the double-sided tape right here along the whole entire side, and then after that, we're going to be wedging this rubber under the trim. So it'll look like it's OEM. Take off the double-sided tape here, and then peel off the existing 3m tape cover. You could do a little bit here, so that you don't take out the whole entire thing. And then we're going to push it to its spots. Get the little ribbon right here and start pulling. And after you do that, it's going to start contacting, you just push it down.
2.3 Wedge it into the Trim
Now this whole entire piece is together, and it's stuck to the actual trim of the car. Now we're gonna start wedging it into the trim. Take the trim back and then slowly wedge it in. And then you can use your nail, or you could use a trim tool as well you have that, and then slowly pry it out and then wedge it on there.
2.4 Looks like an OEM Trim
So as you can see, it's starting to look like it's part of the car now. That's how it looks. When you put it on the car, it looks like an OEM trim.
Basically we're protected on the carpet. We have the door sill protector. We also have this kick pad protected now. And pretty much everywhere that you put your feet on is going to be protected by Lasfit. So check out the parts on Lasfit website and get your discount.
So everything fits perfectly and now the car actually looks newer again. So there are no scratches on our trim anymore. So if you're like us and you had it for a long time already, and this part is already scratched, you could probably get this so that it looks new again. Or if you just got a new car, you could use this to protect it from getting scratched. It's good for both worlds.
3. Install the Rear Door Sill Protectors
Be doing the other side, so we're going to be doing the same exact process. So for this one, this will be wedging it in between the trim here again, and it'll be resting on there, and then this part is just gonna stick just like that, plastic to plastic. And if you want you could get double sided tape too and put that here, so that it won't move around as much.
So this is how it's gonna look basically. You're just gonna be putting it on top with the Velcro on the bottom and that'll attach to the carpet. So if you have a 2022 Model, then this is going to be great for you, because you're going to be protecting the carpet. But if you have the 2021 and 2020 Model, you could just put this on top with double-sided tape for extra protection. Or if you want to like cover some scratches like this, then you could just put it on top, and then just wedge it under the trim.
4. All Protection for your Tesla
So just a recap, we got the Lasfit floor liners, so you got the Lasfit trunk liner. And then we also got the seat covers on the back to protect the carpet, and then we also got the door sill protectors, and don't forget the mud guards that are on the outside of the car. So this is pretty much all protection for your brand new Tesla or just protection for your current Tesla. It looks really nice. So if you are interested in these door sill protectors, don’t forget to click on the button below and have a purchase.

Nice, but too bad they don’t sell them. I wanted to see if they made it for my cars but at the top fo tye screen where you enter your vehicles make and model, it does not show sill protectors in the drop down list. It’s not found under door mats. So this must be a concept part and not for sale.
