Tesla Model Y 2020-2023 Wheel Protection Covers Hub Caps, Fit 19 Inch Wheel ONLY

I always wanted the 21” or 20” wheels because of the black color but was scared of the horror stories of curb rashes and slightly less comfortable ride. The $2k price tag was also a big deterrent. So I got these Lasfit wheel hubcaps to replace my OEM hubcaps and couldn’t be happier. Here’s a quick review for those that are also looking for an upgrade of their 19” wheels.

Design and Build Quality:
These hubcaps look very similar to the Uberturbine wheels which is what I initially wanted but didn’t want to get a MYP. I honestly like these Lastfit hubcaps better cause there are less spokes. The OEM hubcaps are terrible in my opinion and these Lasfit hubcaps really give my white MYLR a sportier and less vanilla look.
Build quality looks top notch. No imperfections anywhere that I can see. I’m glad they used metal clips and metal ring on the back to make sure it stays secure on the wheel and not break during install. The included foam tape was pretty high quality too.

Installation and Fit:
Installing the hubcaps was a breeze and I had no issues snapping them into place. I always have concerns about hubcaps staying in place, especially during highway driving, but they have proven to be incredibly stable with no rattling. I had a set from another brand that popped off the wheel when I hit a big puddle in the past LOL. These Lasfit ones don’t have that issue. The longest part of the install was putting on the foam tape but that really only took me like 10 minutes.
I haven’t had them long enough yet to test durability and possible effect on range. So far, I’ve been getting the same range with these compared to the OEM hubcaps. As long as there isn’t a decrease with the range, I’m happy.

Customer Service and Packaging:
The packaging was excellent. The hubcaps came in a large box but the hubcaps themselves were packaged in 4 individual boxes with bubble wrap, plastic wrap, and then a soft foam wrap. This is the best packaging I’ve seen for a set of hubcaps. The instructions were nicely printed and had correct grammar, unlike some of these other Chinese brands.
Lastfit provides a 1 year hassle free warranty which is awesome. I don’t foresee needing to use the warranty since the hubcaps look so good but it’s nice to have that piece of mind just in case.

Conclusion:
Overall, these 19" Wheel Hubcaps for Tesla Model Y from Lasfit are amazing for the price! Their design, build quality, and price make it a must-have if you’re looking to upgrade your OEM hubcaps. I have bought cheapo hubcaps from China and Amazon and they don’t compare at all with these Lasfit ones. I can’t recommend these hubcaps enough!

Well packed. Each wheel arrived in it's own box with appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during shipping. The clips are correct and fit nicely onto the wheels. Foam tape is included to prevent squeaking or rubbing.

The wheel cover is well made out of durable ABS. There is an instruction manual telling you how to remove the OEM covers and to install Lasfit ones as well as to use the foam tape to prevent squeaking and rubbing.

The covers are very well made and I can see them lasting for a long time. It provides a clean alternative look to the OEM wheel covers.

For quite a while I have been looking over different options for wheel covers after seeing different pictures of other owners installing covers instead of the OEM covers. I came across Lasfit and way very pleased at the ordering and shipment of these wheel covers. They came within 5 days of ordering and were carefully packaged and individually bubble wrapped. Instructions were clear to follow and I was able to add the foam tape to the inside of each wheel cover within 5 minutes. The OEM wheel covers were popped off and the new Lasfit cover was installed in less than 30 seconds per wheel ! They are well made and about the same weight as the OEM covers.
I've had practice before but you can align the air valve stem and then pop each spoke with the bottom of your fist until they all pop in and then pop in the center cap area. Perfect looking wheel covers. I prefer the black look instead of the silver on the Model Y. These set of wheel covers also protect and cover up the existing wheel rim. In fact, I say they give some more protection to the wheel. They look great and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to improve the look without spending thousands on wheel rims.
To remove them, get your hands behind the wheel cover and help pinch the clips out on each section until you can pull and remove the rim cover. These are a bit more secure to remove.

Ordering process: 10/10 - Easy website to find accessories for Model Y. Order placement is easy, you get a order confirmation and tracking info when order ships. Order to ship was one day for me.

Packing Quality: 10/10 - Pictures 1 & 2. Hub Caps came in one box separately packaged. Each cap has a foam layer against the front of the cap and is placed in a bubble wrap sleeve.

What's Included: 9/10 - Picture 3. Each cap came with 2-4 pieces of foam tape and no installation instructions.A single sheet of paper either saying go to website for installation instructions or instructions would have been nice. I went to the website and instructions are there. Not sure why the caps were shipped with extra foam tape since only one piece is needed for each cap. Maybe there thinking you could screw up installing foam.

Quality compared to OEM Caps: 10/10 - Pictures 4 & 5 & 6 are the OEM caps.The OEM caps are solid hub caps. The cap sits on the inside of the tire rim (Picture 5) which I pointed out in the picture. This is my second Tesla and the OEM caps sometimes squeak as the cap rubs on the rim. Picture 5 shows the back of the OEM rim which is very close to the Lasfit caps. Picture 6 shows the clips which is the most important part for assembly. Picture 7 & 8 & 9 are the Lasfit caps. Picture 7 show the cap which covers the rim, I really like the clean look. Picture 8 shows the back and foam that ships with the cap. The foam is essential to keep the caps from squeaking on the rim. the cap is solidly molded. Picture 9 shows the clip. This is a well designed clip and I have no concerns in its holding ability. The Lasfit caps are solidly manufactured with quality materials.

Installation Setup: Picture 10/10 - Picture 10 shows the installation of the foam. I found the easiest way to do the was to run my finger on one hand the outside of the cap while the other hand applied the foam. Pull only a small amount of the foam backing off 6"-9" at a time or you will have problems getting the foam tape to bend around the cap. You must put the foam tape on or the cap will most likely squeak.

Final product: 10/10 - Picture 11 & 12. - You just need to grab the original Hub cap where the clips are and pull straight out with a little force, move around the wheels doing this to each clip location and the cap will come off. To attach the Lasfit cap located the tire air stem and line up the the Lasfit hub cap. With a little pressure to can snap the cap on the wheel moving around the cap. Picture 11 is with OEM cap, Picture 12 is with the Lasfit cap.

Overall assessment of Lasfit and the hub caps. Solid company, well organized from order, packaging, shipment, product quality. I really like the black hub caps, aesthetically pleasing, easy to install. Go to their website for installation instructions. A++
