Dodge / Ram 1500 Classic Crew Cab/ 2024

had ordered a set of I500 running boards three of four weeks ago. Nowhere in the installation video / nor online did it inform me that it would not fit on a 1500 Classic until the video said it, so now I have it ready to ship back to the manufacturer and waiting of FedEx to come here and retrieve it. Before I could send that particular board back, I went ahead and ordered the correct one online so I could have it installed by a body shop friend. The American Trucks Business, showed the correct part on their website specifically for a 1500 classic While my friend the installer was installing it, the part was just not fitting in place. Now David has owned a body shop for many years and knows how to install running boards and so he called the number on his phone. He had the opportunity to speak with customer service and this is what she she told us. The second part I ordered from American Truck online to the exact vehicle was the wrong application and should have fit the 2009-2018 Ram 1500 and the fit the 2024 Tacoma only. You specified this part to fit my truck the American Truck site online site. For the previous package, you made me take pictures of the boards before you sent me a return sticker and a RA paperwork. You said four the first return, the package could not have been opened. Now this particular carton has been opened for we wouldn't have noticed it was the wrong part otherwise. please sent me the correct paperwork so that I may return your product. I will take a picture to text the company. Please send me the proper paperwork to my email as before and you can please sent me the cell number so I can return this wrong product to you, American Truck. 2019 Chevy Silverado RST

Well this pains me because I’ve been a fan of lasfit for years. But I feel they didn’t follow through on this one.
First off the box showed up like it had been drug behind the delivery truck since pick up. All the plastic banding was snapped and then taped back over.
So was this the shipping Conor was this sent out the door like this? Idk? So upon trying to install these I honestly didn’t think instructions would be needed. Should be pretty straight forward. Opened one of the two bracket boxes and found 2 left and 2 right brackets. Open the second box and find 4 left brackets. Ok open the instructions. These have to be the worst instructions I’ve ever witnessed for any product I’ve ever purchased. So I verify I have 6 of one side and 2 of the other. Superb!!
Ok so I’ll trying and at least get one side on and see where that lands me, I put what they are calling the left on my drivers side, un wrap the step and wouldn’t you know it it’s dented. Sigh….
Ok well it’s a side step I guess they pulled the bandaid off for me so now I don’t have to feel bad when I do it.
So I go to bolt it on and wait a min something doesn’t look right. Back to the terrible instructions. Hmm is it my left or your left? So I take the right brackets put them on the left and bingo after an hr 1 side is on. I unwrap the right step and dang/shoot that one’s dented to in the same spot. Ok now I’m just irritated. But hey it lines up and fits. I was able to temp get the pass side on using 6 of the 8 holes until hopefully brackets can be shipped.
You all at last need to look these instructions over or ask us guys that have bought them how to make them better.
I would start by emilinating the left right jargon and calling it driver side and passenger side. But that only work if you first label the brackets whether with a sticker/ separate marked box, or physically labeling them.
Just seems like a lot of holes in the Swiss cheese aligned on this order I had but reading other people’s reviews many have stated either wrong parts or instructions suck. Do the right thing last and fix this.

2022 ram 1500

They look great but were a huge pain to install. They also had the wrong weld nuts on the middle bracket for the driver side so I had to get different bolts.
