Mercedes
The lights are bright however, they do not stay constant. They steadily flicker and won’t stay on.

I’ll look at getting a CANBUS to hopefully resolve the problem.

We're very sorry for the flickering issue and the frustrating experience you had.
German cars like Mercedes-Benz will have a more picky computer.
The computer will tell the LED bulb's power draw is lower than the stock halogen bulb, so it may have a compatibility issue, such as flickering, throwing the error code, or not working properly.
It seems that these L-1156 backup lights can't be compatible with your 2004 Mercedes-Benz C240, we have updated our fitment information on the website, thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention.
Since we don't have a solution to fix it at present, we refunded them directly and you don't need to return them to us.

Excellent as Usual
I purchased the 1156 LED substitute for the headlights on my garden tractor. It is such a world of difference in quantity and quality of light you almost cannot believe it. I have also purchased and installed LASFIT LED substitutes for three cars over the years those were wonderful as well. Only one failure of an LED bulb on the very first car which LASFIT promptly took care of. I recommend them to my friends, but that is where the sole drawback shows up. They are a bit on the expensive side for most of my friends.
