Waring:
During operation, resistors will get hot. This is a nature of resistor. It is hot enough to melt any plastic part they touch, including other wires. They need to be tap screwed or metal zip tied for sure.
Sometimes it is hard to find a proper place for resistors. Please check your car before purchase.
If you are not professional on installing and not confident to use this product, please do not purchase before doing research. Modification is troublesome. It is not bad to stay with factory halogen bulbs.
When I bought the LED bulbs no one mentioned I needed the resistors to make this work. I bought them and when I installed them they got so hot I was worried about creating a fire hazzard. Why cant a resistor be included in the bulb where a fan is already present to keep them cool and safe. I ended up going back to a regular halogen bulb.
Hello Richard,
We do apologize for the frustrating experience you had.
Here we want to explain what's going on:
1. We checked our support system and found that we didn't received any messages from you. Actually, we only can tell if it needs a resistor or not when you leave us your vehicle Year/Make/Model information on the shopping cart or message.
2. For most vehicles, it will work well without loading a resistor. But for some vehicles like Jeep and Ford, it may can‘t work properly when upgrading to aftermarket LED bulbs, that's the reason why a resistor doesn't be included in these LED bulbs.
Please don't worry, we offer 45 days of free return, if this resistor can't make the LED bulbs to work properly , we will refund them directly and you don't need to return them.
We also reached out to you through our customer support email cs@lasfit.com to follow up.
Look forward to hearing from you, thanks.
Sincerely,
Lasfit Customer Support Team
