If you're here, perhaps your car light bulb is H7, which comes with a retainer holder. The retainer holder is to lock the H7 halogen bulb on the housing. Bulbs have perfect pattern right out of the box and are very bright. I needed to manually adjust my housings but once setup they were golden. VW makes it a pain to change headlight bulbs but that isn’t a Lasfit issue. I was able to replace both bulbs without removing the front bumper on the MK6. I have decently large hands and it was a pain but eventually it clicks. Will buy again for other vehicles.

Two weeks in and lights are great. No complaints about vision. Vast improvement on halogens and so far haven't gotten complaints from other drivers. Install was challenging because I can't get the light to actually click into place and stop rotating. Not worried that they will fall out, but I thought they would securely stop rotating. Short of removing the light housing there was no good way to verify that I was doing it correctly. Went through the wheel well on L side like I saw on a video and that didn't really help with getting a good view. Mostly I just put it in blind at the back of the headlight, looking through the front to see that the light was in. Was able to put the old dust cap back on. No issues with CANBUS.

2. The correct direction of these bulbs is the LED chips facing side by side with the wire cord down at 6 o'clock, you can rotate the LED bulb to adjust it.

The lights were very easy to install and much brighter than oem
Bulbs have perfect pattern right out of the box and are very bright. I needed to manually adjust my housings but once setup they were golden. VW makes it a pain to change headlight bulbs but that isn’t a Lasfit issue. I was able to replace both bulbs without removing the front bumper on the MK6. I have decently large hands and it was a pain but eventually it clicks. Will buy again for other vehicles.
